Some parts shine, others fall flat
The rooftop onsen offered stunning views of the Sumida river and Tokyo Skytree, especially magical at sunrise and after dark. The location was a stone's throw from Senso-ji Temple and nearby shopping streets.
While the hotel features great amenities, it felt overly compact, making packing and movement a bit challenging. Additionally, I encountered some difficulties with the self check-in machines during my arrival.

It’s not perfect, but It’s memorable
A very cozy stay with friendly staff. The rooftop onsen was a highlight after long days exploring, and the location was close to convenience stores and the train. Although the room was snug, it was well-equipped and clean. The breakfast was decent, yet expect lines during busy hours.

I appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail at Apa Hotel Asakusa Kuramae. The bed offered exceptional comfort. I loved having a drinkable water supply in the bathroom, which eliminated the need for bottled water. The hotel’s onsen was a nice retreat after exploring the city, though it got pretty bustling during peak times. Staff members were helpful. one even gave me a map to Senso-ji Temple. However, the self-check-in process was frustrating. It took nearly an hour due to issues with the kiosk scanning passports. Space is limited in the rooms, making it tough to fit luggage. there were no drawers or shelves available for clothing, just a closet. Additionally, the laundry situation was a hassle. only one washer and dryer for the entire hotel caused delays, making it difficult to do laundry in a timely manner.

The hotel offers laundry machines for guests, which can be a lifesaver during long stays. There’s a public bath facility separated by genders where you can see how crowded it is via the TV screen in your room.
The entrance lacks a proper walkway, making it tough to maneuver luggage. Rooms are seriously cramped, leaving little space for anything beyond the bed. Only two small bottles of water were provided for a five-night stay, and the bathroom amenities were missing key items like lotion.

Located just a short walk from Kuramae station, the hotel offers a comfy bed in a clean room, though it’s on the smaller side. The on-site restaurant serves excellent Mediterranean food, making dining convenient. The check-in process is efficient, and the presence of convenience stores nearby is a bonus. However, luggage security can be a concern since bags are left unmonitored in the lobby before check-in.

Great location, just a 10-min walk to Senso-ji and a 6-min walk to Kuramae station. The rooftop onsen was a highlight, offering incredible views of the city. Loved the friendly staff who made our stay enjoyable. Definitely take advantage of the free laundry machines. they were super convenient for us during our trip.
One downside was that breakfast can be crowded, especially early in the morning. We had to wait a bit, so plan accordingly if you're in a rush.
